Owners of the Fonte do Rego guest houses, Les and Isabel Gallagher
Les, originally from the UK, first arrived in the Azores in 1987 to start out in what became a 15 year career in big game fishing. These days, Les works as a marine life Artist in collaboration with Horta’s Department of Oceanography and Fisheries, University of the Azores and with the majority of projects aimed at the promotion of marine conservation, environmental awareness and sustainable fisheries. Isabel, originally from California is of Azorean descent and has a keen interest in plants,
